Longmen Art Projects | Hong Kong was established in the spring of 2017 to become an integral part of the cultural landscape of Hong Kong and its unique role within the international art market.
Longmen Art Projects now maintains a stable and steady presence in Shanghai and Hong Kong; carefully managing modern Chinese artists of the 20th Century such as The Estate of Walasse Ting; Chuang Che, and Liao Shiou-Ping (b. 1936); as well as contemporary artists committed to the pursuit of their artistic creations. Among these are: Lai Chiman (b. 1949), Lu Ming-Te (b. 1950), YE Yongqing (b. 1958), HUANG Zhiyang (b. 1965), LI Lei (b. 1965), HE Sen (b. 1968), LIN Hairong (b. 1975), Daniel Lee POSTAER (b. 1978), HAN Yajuan (b. 1980), and LUO Dan (b. 1982).
From Taiwan’s Ton Fan and Fifth Moon art movements, the growth of its primary art market, and the establishment of overseas Chinese artists in the 1990s; to the establishment of the modern and contemporary Asian art market in Hong Kong towards the turn of the millennium; to the explosion of contemporary Chinese art onto the global art scene in the 2000s; to the emergence of the primary market in China; Longmen had always operated under a common goal – to connect with the region’s art and cultural landscape while promoting fine art to new heights during each of its major eras.
As Asia develops into a unified region, its comprehensive Asian art & culture ideology also solidifies as a cohesive artistic movement.
